Short answer: Nope

Long Answer : Nobody except Framework employees will know the answer to that and they are pretty tight-lipped about such things. I wouldn’t worry too much. Framework has been steadily rolling out support and offerings to various European countries and seeing as Spain isn’t exactly a small country I’m sure Framework will offer products there eventually. In the meantime, if you really want a Framework right now, you could use the services of a freight forwarder. There are some downsides to the method but it gets you a laptop right now instead of in the future.

i am waiting since the LTT firat video and aroud that tine my only main system died… i am completely doing my studies and parttime work in a raspberry pi… until framework ships to india and getting tired of that rpi as main system… I really need one good laptop as early as possible and not wanted to waste money on other brands…

Framework suggests against freight forwarding as they will not be able to help you if your laptop gets lost in customs and if it arrives dead they will not be able to help either. Framework can get legal repercussions and the customs fees will be high in India.

@Vaisakh_K_M pretty much what @Josh_Cook said, it isn’t without risk and I don’t know how long it might be until Framework does business in India, I know they have absolutely punitive protectionist laws. Any foreign company must partner with an Indian one in order to do business in India and some other rules apply I’m sure, but that’s just the one I know of that makes it hard for a small (comparatively) business to enter the Indian market.

It would likely be better for you to purchase a business grade laptop from one of the larger OEMs, those laptops are generally built better, like the Elitebooks from HP or Thinkpads from Lenovo or XPS line from Dell. You might even be able to find them used to save a bit of cash.

We do plan to make the Framework Laptop available in India, but it is one of the more challenging countries to import consumer electronics products into, and will not occur this year.

Hi, I want to buy a Framework laptop, but I am in Eastern Europe, in European Union. And I wonder whether I should buy it and import it from the US or wait for Framework to open sales in the EU. I don’t care about the national keyboard layout since everyone here uses the US layout (I never actually seen the national one). So the question to Framework is: are you planning to open more like in December or sooner or still don’t know? And the question to the community is: what are your experiences …

I’m in the market for a laptop in the coming weeks, and the Framework Laptop works the best for my needs. However, buying in the US and shipping to the EU costs 50% customs, plus around €100 shipping. That puts my total price over 3k, and that’s way too much over other manufacturers. Hi! Framework itself stated that this year, 2021, EU sales will launch. Delivery between the UK and the EU is much cheaper than if you’d import it across the Atlantic. I’d suggest you to wait. Also, they could launch the UK and EU market simultaneously, that’d be lucky for you

I would love to get one in Thailand. It is hard to find a travel friendly laptop that can be easily upgraded on my own here. Also the fact that I can bring my own os is a huge plus so I don’t have to buy a new windows that I don’t use. I use Linux so this is a huge plus.
