Windows 10 Apps Crashing

I’m unable to get Windows 10 stable on my machine. Photos app crashes when I double-click image files in File Explorer. If I Restart the machine it’s usually ok for 5-10min but then apps start crashing again. Camera app does this as well. Lots of weird stuff like that.

I’ve tried multiple fresh installs with different flash drives. Nothing seems to work.

Windows 10
Bios 3.07
Drivers bundle installed.
1TB WD SN750.
32GB crucial ram.
*Nothing out of the ordinary.

Would be grateful for any help. Thanks.

What does event viewer say?

If your system is unstable without good reason, the most common problem is bad ram. Windows 10 has a RAM test build-in, which you can launch this way: Diagnose memory problems on your PC

Thanks for the link Jonathan. I’ll try the link.

Thanks Josh. Here’s an Application Error report for the camera app that happened right now:

@Jonathan_Haas I tried the built-in Windows test. I watched the test run all the way to 99% complete and it said there were no errors. But then when I logged in, there was no diagnostic report. Even Viewer didn’t have a report under System logs. The closest thing I could find was two events under Application logs titled “Windows Error Reporting”:

(Event 1)

Fault bucket , type 0
Event Name: MemDiagV1

Looks like this is a dll file associated with the Intel Graphics Driver. You could try downloading the graphics driver updater from Intel’s website and manually update it yourself (the one in the Framework driver bundle is going to be a few versions behind at this point).

I just tested the installer here and I think it’s what you want, but it might be safer to go find it yourself at Intel’s website if you don’t trust random links posted by strangers on the internet (You’ll want the Intel Graphics - Windows DCH Drivers).

@Azure I think that fixed it. Thank you for your help. I was about to ditch Windows and go back to Linux. Had no issues with the distro I was using beforehand.
