And previous batches are also affected by this issue (although not as prevailing as in batch 4). Still I’m curious what could go wrong with such a widely used connector.

This issue also makes you wonder how good their QC processes are. Did they even test these input cover boards with the connected cables? Seems like they could have caught this much sooner.

For me, too. The lower left corner of the bezel wouldn’t stay down, and there was a horrible clicking noise when I opened the lid. I had to unscrew the input cover and take the bezel off–at which point I discovered that one of the cables near the hinge on that side was out of its guide. After I tucked it in, the bezel sat flush, and it’s been fine (and quiet) ever since.

By “factory side” I meant the side of the input cover ribbon cable that comes pre-attached from the factory. I am doubtful of consumer error due to the end the guide has you plugin being a plug, which doesn’t allow too much room for user error (I am sure I plugged it in right side up).

Just a data point:
Mine (MB kit) arrived yesterday (to Canada) w/ fw 3.02. After upgrading it using the uefi shell, ubuntu 23.10 works without any issues

Mine made it to the UK this morning and is now moving around inside the UK so it must have cleared customs. The arrival estimate is still Wednesday, though!

My framework was delivered just now (France, next to Paris for information), a day early to my neighbour. Will have to wait the end of the day to get it. Right on my birthday, perfect timing!!!

It just got delivered, one day early, to NL.
Can’t wait te find out if / which of the currently known issues I am blessed with.
Will it be the molten connector, broken WiFi or powerbutton?

Mine arrived today, one day early in NL. Luckily I had my home-office day due to bad weather.
Question:
In the BIOS, is the mouse/ touchpad supposed to work?
Because on the main screen there is a scrollbar, and I could not find out how to scroll down.

No mouse in the Framework UEFI. I hope they change this one of these days.

Mine came this morning too (UK)!
Assembly was pretty smooth. I just had some trouble with the bottom-right corner of the bezel not going fully down, but it seems to have sorted itself out. And there’s also a very slight gap between the body and input cover in the top right corner, but it’s not a big deal. I might take it apart again though to see if I can improve it.
Otherwise, I’m in love with it! It’s so much nicer in person than in pictures.
