Framework 13 (US1) will not boot

Hello all,

I recently received Intel Ultra 7 155H in my FW13 mystery box. I installed a 16GB Framework RAM kit and put it in a Framework X Cooler Master case and attempted to get into the bios but was met with consistent red blue blinking. I know that this usually indicates ram training, but I let it sit for over an hour and it still did not post. Occasionally a different blink code would show up blinking green, white, green, but would immediately go back to the red blue blinking. I tried to replicate it so I could attach a video but it is extremely sporadic.

I tried to boot it with both sticks of ram in slot 0 and then slot 2, follow this guide [RESOLVED] Mainboard Standalone w/o Framework Laptop (AMD 7040; 5 7640U) , and reset the motherboard by holding down the case switch (SW3) ten times for two seconds, to no avail.

I did not have installed a SSD, Wi-Fi module, or battery. It was powered with a 100 watt PD3 power adapter/cord and had Framework HDMI module going into a external monitor both connected to the back rear ports.

I saw some posts that said it could be that I don’t have a battery installed or the intrusion switch is being wack but it is apparently supposed to fail into standalone mode at some point, which it did not.

Any help or additional information I may of missed would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Just a quick update,

I purchased an RTC and a 61Wh battery from Framework, installed them, and attempted to boot. I no longer get the unending red-blue blinking, and now there is no red-blue blinking at all. The blink code appears more reliably now: all green except for the sixth (6th) and seventh (7th), which are red. I believe these are the touchpad and audio boards not being detected, which makes sense since they are not installed.

The battery charges when installed. An amber light shows while charging and turns white when it is fully charged. The indicator light appears on either side depending on which side the power is plugged into.

I tried doing a full mainboard reset and swapping the RAM again, but no dice. I also attempted to boot using Fedora 43 KDE flashed to a USB stick and tried a non-HDMI video connection to multiple different monitors using different ports on the mainboard to no avail.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
