A 13” OLED touchscreen??? ![]()
A display for Desktop
I like this analysis and find it more probable than a FW16 refresh.
You missed the part where it was completely wrong. ![]()
Looks like there isn’t any context about the “big” in this post
All of the Laptop Sixteen gang is here, woohoo, let’s gooo!
At this point I’d be excited even for a release of the RGB LED matrix module so that more than a hundred people can have them ![]()
Something like this?
Framework
Expansion Bay # the first 13 dots
(a GPU name?) # the second 13 dots
I would love to see a touch-screen, but I’m also interested in that gaming-capable board that they have in their new desktop. I know some people don’t like soldered RAM, but I think it’s the only way to get sufficient throughput to the APU for proper gaming performance without the bulky external GPU attachment. As long as it has enough RAM to be future-proof, I would be interested in that.
I’m curious, how do you explain the reference to 13 then?
If you think soldered RAM is “the only way”, you can simply buy a laptop, gaming or otherwise, from a different brand
I fully expect to see @BigT on stage as the new CTO (Crash Testing Officer).
Bonus nonsense: “Crash Testing” has 13 characters (including the space) which matches the 13 diamonds.
I’m down. I’ll be waiting to hear from Framework to set it up, lol.
12” isn’t exactly big, neither is 13” by laptop standards, so I think it’s gotta be 16” if it matches the pattern you guessed
Can we have 285HX with 256GB RAM support?
Haptic trackpad!
Finally shipping to Switzerland!! No new product needed. After so many years, you could finally add this option. I don’t care if the keyboard is not yet available. But let us order your cool products. I hate ordering to friends in Germany and pay 19% tax, instead of 8,1%. Comeon framework finally make that move please! I am not the only one waiting for this to happen.
Yeah, maybe an eGPU via ocu link. Or the second 13 could be: RadeonRX9080M
framework 69 smart tv
Excited to see FW continue to roll out products… but I do think it’s going to be upgrades for the FW16 … they’ve talked previously about stock levels for the mobile 7000 series processors so they need an alternative… no idea whether that would be Intel or AMD at this point (maybe both, but that might also require Intel Arc GPUs for the expansion bay?) … but certainly the tagline “something big just got better” implies it’s an existing product… (cue arguments about marketeers using “new AND improved” … it’s either NEW or it’s IMPROVED… it can’t really be both).
