I finally see that shipment to the Netherlands is being rolled out! I haven’t gotten my stage 2 or 3 email yet, but i’m expecting it either today or tomorrow.

I placed my order of an i7 DIY on march 2nd

It looks like they’ve started with just the i5’s. Hopefully they’ll get to us within a day or two :crossed_fingers: :crossed_fingers:

Same boat, but good signal indeed.

Also, holy stroopwafel batman dude, that is the most dutch username I’ve ever seen. :stuck_out_tongue:

Hi Guys!
It’s very nice to find so many people excited about the Framework!
I ordered mine on 2022-03-08T23:00:00Z and I am getting a bit curious/worried as I see people talking about stages because I never received any stage update (How do you know on what stage you are? ).

It says “pre order confirmed”, batch 9 and that’s all

I ordered an I7 1165G7 base for France

Can anyone say confirm that I just need to be patient and there is nothing wrong in my situation please?

Thanks for your time and sorry If that sounds a bit impatient

Yes, just wait for an email with updates. I didn’t hear anything for nearly 2 weeks.

It’s been clear to me for some months that my laptop is struggling to meet my needs (it’s about 5-6 years old), but I decided to try and keep it going a while longer. Then I heard about Framework and decided I had to do my absolute best to keep going until I could get my hands on one. Based on the updates from FW, I eventually concluded that this wouldn’t happen this year, and when my laptop started struggling with screensharing in video calls (a pretty basic need for me) I thought my time was up and I had to replace it asap. The same day I had already pretty much settled on a refurbished gaming laptop to buy, but we had friends coming over, so I let it be for the afternoon. That same evening FW opened pre-orders to the Netherlands, and the rest is history (in progress). But yeah, it’s been a challenging month and I wish they’d get a move on! (First world problems, I know.)

I also haven’t gotten anything yet, and in my anxiousness messaged support. As they responded with the default “we cant give estimates for individual orders right now” text block, I guess it’s not out of the ordinary. (Ordered Jan 15th)

After receiving an e-mail yesterday that my order was being prepared, I woke up this morning to an e-mail saying that there was a problem processing my order. Apparently something went wrong with the payment, but I was able to directly pay the remaining amount via iDeal from this e-mail. Immediately after paying I received an e-mail saying that my order is shipping soon! One thing I noticed tho is on the page where I could redo my payment, it stated my order is shipping in Batch 10 (April)… I think the later e-mail stating that my order will be shipped soon is correct so we’ll see when it shows up

Ok after stage 3 yesterday i received the stage 4 and 5 mails this morning - looks like i will receive my framework this month

@BoredStudent How did you originally pay? Currently I am in batch 9.

I payed the deposit with sepa, thinking about adding my credit card for faster processing.

@Proximus My original deposit of €100 was with iDeal too. It was with the same bank account as I used now so I’m not sure why it didn’t work first try

Come to think of it, I’ve never done anything that has a deferred payment via iDeal. I’m wondering if they’re finding situations where the initial immediate deposit works, but they end up unable to capture the rest automatically.

Which bank are you on (if willing to share on the interwebs…)? I use Rabo, so curious to see if there ends up being variations per bank on this.

@BoredStudent that’s interesting. I had been wondering about the iDeal payments, because I get the impression that it’s only for one-off payments, and just making a payment with it doesn’t actually enable the person collecting the payment to reuse the payment method, if you see what I mean. I don’t actually understand the iDeal system very well, so someone please correct me if I’m wrong.

I do wonder if your situation is a glitch or if FW are trying to use iDeal not in the manner intended. Let’s see how the rest of us get on.
