[RESPONDED] AMD Batch 1 Guild

If you want to trust that source it’s up to you.
I won’t go for each of the item in the list just to prove someone in the internet wrong.

I obviously didn’t check all memories in the whole world to check if most of them are JEDEC only. That’s my impression based on the search that I did in the location I live looking for the memory size I’m interested in.

For instance Kingston Fury spec files are ambiguous they talk about JEDEC but then list PnP and XMP profiles. :person_shrugging:

Same to me :handshake:

It seems that the Crucial won’t reach 5600 without XMP.

Did you mean to link to the Amazon product page? I can’t really find anything about the relation between reaching 5600 MT/s and XMP on it one way or the other. But then there’s quite a lot of stuff there. So if you could clarify which part you are referring to there, I think it would be really helpful.

Sorry, I think this link will work. I’ve corrected my post. Amazon.com: Customer Questions & Answers

Guys, as far as I can tell, the Crucial kit has a JEDEC DDR5-5600 profile.

I’ve found another memory that seems JEDEC Standard.

NEMIX RAM

IMO there’s few reasons to not go with the Crucial kit if you aren’t buying from Framework directly, they have generally been reliable and stable.

I’m wary of the Kingston Fury Impact kits, they have sometimes worked for people but per Framework anything that isn’t JEDEC compliant may have problems. Their advertised timings are for PnP. Other kits with XMP should fall back to a standard JEDEC timing for non-XMP supported devices, but Kingston Fury Impact is using their proprietary PnP; the behavior experienced by myself and others suggests that certain PnP kits would not fall back to standard JEDEC timings and thus fail to boot, at least on 11th gen Intel. Other kits PnP appeared to work without problems. So it’s a bit of an all-or-nothing gamble with them.

DDR 5 SO DIMM JEDEC Standrd-SPD

NO XMP Profiles.

Just look for the Model Number and just don´t buy on Amazon until they get a decent search.

Hmm. Double checking my order since production is supposed to start soon, and it’s been a few months… I notice that the order doesn’t list the SSD I picked, but the price certainly seems to when I compared with the system builder. Anyone else notice this? Maybe just an oversight on how the order page displays it?

You are right @Scott_Lembcke , I just went to my preorder to check and also don’t see any SSD listed. But same as you report, I’m pretty sure the price correctly reflects the fact that I added one. I’d guess it’s just an issue with the order system not displaying that part…

I got this crucial kit CT16G56C46S5
hoping it works at 5600MHz…

Unfortunately I have not received any such email; would you mind sharing what it said?

It has been explained in the mail about shipping in Taiwan.
You can see the content in the forum, here:

I have the exact same problem on my pre-order as well, drive doesn’t appear, hope this is just a bug on the display side.
Only a few more weeks before receiving my framework, so exited! Hope everything will go smoothly.

Well I guess Given the fact that mass production just started and I’m on batch 5 I guess there’s no chance in hell of getting my order before December :frowning:

It depends on how quickly they can crank them out now that they’re in production. Could go either way.

The current batch is the 7, and it’s still scheduled for Q4. If they manage to have 2 batches per month, maybe Batch 5 will be end of november

Hmm I hope that’s the case otherwise I may have to chat up with support so that they can delay may shipment because I’m out of the country all of December so there won’t be anyone home to receive the delivery

@Matthieu_Laroche @Scott_Lembcke

Just reach out to support. I had the same issue with my add-ons months back. I sent them screenshots and the issue was resolved within days.

I believe their web app employs server side rendering, so it is difficult to say for certain (i.e., no errors/clues if you open up your browser’s dev console); however, unless your price has changed, I would put money on an internal bug that is omitting your add-ons.
